MILFORD - The Building Task Force of the Pike County Public Library today announced that Frederick Schwartz, chosen earlier this month as the architect for the new central library for Pike County, will be the keynote speaker at “Enchanted April,” the April 14th dinner dance to launch the Capital Campaign to construct a new central library for the Pike County Public Library system. “The new building design will be a more than worthy addition to the already distinguished architectural heritage of Pike County, and we are very happy indeed that Fred will be able to share it on Apr. 14 with so many library supporters. His plans take full advantage of the natural beauty of the library site as well as celebrating the “city beautiful” heritage of Milford’s township plan” according to Rebecca Lindsey, chairperson of the event and Task Force member. “We recognize that this building represents a step forward from the 1820’s through 1920’s core of local building design, so we are particularly anxious for as many Pike County residents as possible to hear directly from the architect about the historical and local sources for the design,” she added. The Task Force has also announced the complete list of sponsors for the Apr/ 14 festivities. PenTeleData is sponsoring the pre-dinner reception, which begins at 6 p.m. Wayne Bank is sponsoring the 7:30 p.m. dinner, and The Biondo Group and Century 21 Roy B.
