Art after dark on Saturday
MILFORD Visit a complimentary wine & cheese art premiere, Saturday, June 14, 5 to 8 p.m., sponsored by Davis R. Chant Realtors 106 E. Harford Street, in Milford and presented by artists Yolanda Riggle and Barbara Briden. Riggle’s mission in art is to express movement. She believes that there are levels of energies that we can consciously use to provide movement however many are unconsciously directing our lives. These are the energies that she hopes to capture for her own and for others observation. Yolanda is devoted to daily prayer and meditation which has brought her to this place in her life and given her the ability to share creatively and lovingly with those around her. She works various mediums including pen and ink, magic markers, glue and glitter. Barbara Briden primarily works in watercolor, often pouring layers of primary background color to lend a sense of spontaneity and luminosity to her paintings. Five years ago she moved from NJ to Lake Wallenpaupack where she paints “en plein air” locally and creates portrait studies in her studio. She travels extensively and finds her sketch books, travel journals and photographs a great help and inspiration for her work.
