— The "Artful Bears" that will enliven the borough in the run-up to this fall's Black Bear Film Festival will make their debut from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Community House, 201 Broad St., Milford.
See what the participating artists have come up with when transforming their raw material — plain bear molds meant for target practice — into amazing expressions of creativity, bouncing off a range of themes.
This year's participants include Tracy Dentico, Molly Makitra, Amy Eisenberg, Green Tree's pre-K, Jore Bagdonas, Ava Nienstadt, Delaware Highlands Conservancy, Kimberly Guest, Zoey Marquis, and Marcia Monaco.
This year's Black Bear Film Festival will be held Oct. 19 to 21 in Milford. Film icon Jane Alexander — author, actress, and former director of the
National Endowment for the Arts, and a Tony Award winner and two-time Emmy Award winner — will come to Milford as the festival's headliner.
