Beer tasting and food pairing to benefit environmental education

LAKE ARIEL — Mix and mingle with friends in front of a roaring fire while enjoying locally brewed beers at Lacawac’s Fire and Ice beer tasting and food pairing event.
Lacawac Sanctuary Environmental Education Center is hosting the fundraiser from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, at Wallenpaupack Brewing Co., 73 Welwood Ave., Hawley. Proceeds will support Lacawac’s environmental education programs for children grades K-12.
The cost is $25 per person or $45 for two. Only ages 21 and up will be admitted.
Wallenpaupack Brewing Co. will provide a flight of beer (or wine flight or craft soda flight) paired with mouth-watering fare, a cash bar, and additional food menu items.
Other highlights include a ​tour of the brewery and ​cash bar/beer growlers and cans for sale.
