Bush and Holmes show
at the Artery MILFORD For the third consecutive year, local Shohola painter and New York City graphic designer David Lee Bush will be showing a new collection of paintings on wood at the Artery Gallery. The images draw inspiration from the garden, from the commonplace and from the ancient. Work by David Bush is also showing in the upcoming July Salmagundi Club show in NYC. Tom Holmes, an artist, sculptor and musician living and working in the area, will be featuring works in stone and steel, burnt wood and ice. The undercurrents of natural decay, unity, duality, symmetry, space, time and dimension are at the heart of Tom’s creative work. The show will run from Thursday July 9 through Monday August 3 with an artist’s reception to be held Saturday, July 11 from 5 to 9 p.m., coinciding with Milford’s Art After Dark, a town wide arts-walk. The Artery is located in historic Forest Hall at the corner of Broad and Harford streets in Milford. Regular gallery hours are Thursday - Sunday, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. & Monday 11-3 p.m. Summer Saturday hours are 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. For more information call 570 409-1234.
