Chamber group plans two performances

, N.Y. — The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and Hurleyville Arts Centre have teamed up to present two concerts featuring the DalíQuartet, a Philadelphia-based chamber group that performs a unique mix of Latin American, classical and romantic repertoire.
The first concert will take place on Friday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hurleyville Arts Centre. The second, featuring a different program, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. at Narrowsburg’s Tusten Theatre.
Acclaimed musicians Domenic Salerni (violin), Carlos Rubio (violin), Adriana Linares (viola) and Jesús A. Morales Matos (cello) hail from Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the U.S., and have studied at schools including the Cleveland Institute of Music, Yale University, Indiana University Bloomington and the Simón Bolivar Conservatory in Caracas, Venezuela.
At the Hurleyville Arts Centre, 219 Main St. in Hurleyville, N.Y., the quartet will perform a variety of dance music by composers from the 19th century to the present. The quartet will be joined by guest bassist Pedro Giraudo and Latin dancers Edgar Osorio and Valerie Levine. This performance will be followed by a Q&A with the performers. At the Tusten Theatre, 210 Bridge St. in Narrowsburg, N.Y., the quartet will perform a separate program featuring String Quartet No. 3 in E Flat Major by Spanish composer Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga; String Quartet No. 1, Op. 20 by Argentinian composer Alberto Ginastera; and String Quartet No. 6 in F minor by German composer Felix Mendelssoh. Tickets for this performance are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, with no additional discounts.
