Christmas tea at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church
MILFORD — A classic English-styled Christmas tea, with three delightful courses and a wide variety of teas, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Catharine St., Milford.
This celebration is open to the public as a way to kick off the holiday season. The last seating will be taken no later then 2:30 p.m.

A selection of breakfast, lunch, and dessert options will be available for sampling. This year's menu includes cranberry and walnut pinwheels, scones with strawberry jam, brie and blackberry pastries, and assorted finger sandwiches. The dessert options are almond-crusted lemon bars, Russian tea cake, and cherry snowdrop cookies.
Hot tea, coffee, or hot chocolate with fresh cream and sugar will be served with vintage tea sets. Children may choose from a separate menu offering peanut butter sandwiches and snowman cupcakes.
There will also be a craft sale of holiday gifts and a visit from Santa Claus himself. Bring a phone to take a selfie with Santa. Poinsettia arrangements will also be sold.
The Christmas tea has been an Episcopal tradition for centuries, and has taken place at the Church of the Good Shepherd for more than 52 years.
Tickets are $15 per person for adults and $5 for children and may be purchased at goodshepherdmilford.org.
