— Many birds of prey can be seen from a distance, flying in the air, or hanging out in a nearby tree. Have you ever wanted to see an owl or eagle up close? If so, here’s your chance.
Senior citizens are invited to “Close Encounters with Birds of Prey” at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, at Belle Reve Senior Living, 404 East Harford St., Milford. The Delaware Valley Raptor Center will bring some majestic birds of prey to this educational program, which will foster understanding, respect and appreciation for raptors and all wildlife.
This event is free and open to seniors, but seating is limited. RSVP by calling 570-409-9191.
The Delaware Valley Raptor Center is a private, not-for-profit corporation, dedicated to the conservation of birds of prey. Their goal is to provide professional care for orphaned, ill and injured raptors so they can be returned to the wild. Through educational programs, the center aims to create an appreciation for all wildlife. For more information, visit dvrconline.org.
