College offers arts and technology in Pike

    SHOHOLA - Revisit an old pastime or discover a new activity with classes at Northampton Community College’s site at the Shohola Business Center, 837 U.S. Route 6, Unit 6, Shohola. Classes include: • “Watercolor for Beginners - Mini Class” - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Oct. 10 to 24. The fee is $35. • “Graphic Design II” - 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 14 to Nov. 4. Students will further their learning about logo design, emblems, letterhead and more. The fee is $59. • “The American Dream - Tragedy or Inspiration” - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 7 to 28. This class will examine life’s ups and downs for the characters in the classic plays “The Glass Menagerie,” “Our Town,” “Of Mice and Men,” and “The Death of a Salesman.” The fee is $49. • “Basic Word” - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 16 to Dec. 14. There’s more to Microsoft Word than typing a document. This class will cover the menu bar, formatting, tables and more. The fee is $39 plus $1 for materials. And just for children: • “Arts & Crafts Aplenty - KIDS (Ages 8 to 12 years old)” - 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 24 to Nov. 1. The fee is $29 plus $10 for materials.
