Festival of Lights coming up next weekend

    Milford — Last year, more than 300 visitors braved the chilly weather to watch Milford’s tree lighting. This year, an even greater number of people are expected to join in the celebration at the 11th Annual “Milford Festival of Lights.” The tree lighting will take place on Dec. 7, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The highly anticipated community celebration happens on the lawn of the Pike County Community House where the tree is located. The crowd will be invited to sing Holiday songs with the Dingman-Delaware Children’s Choir. The tree and star on the hill overlooking Milford will be lit promptly at 6 p.m. by the Milford Lions. This year marks the 22nd year that the Lions Club and the Pike County Chamber of Commerce, Milford Business Council will celebrate the Festival of Lights in Milford. .
