Milford — The Pike County Democratic Committee is presenting a free showing of Michael Moore’s movie “Sicko” - a movie about the state of health care in America. This free screening will be held as part of a special meeting of the Pike County Democratic Committee at 7 p.m., Dec. 10, at The Laurel Villa, West Ann and Second streets, Milford. Representatives for Senator Arlen Specter will also be on hand to discuss the movie. “Sicko” is an entertaining and all too revealing look at the health care system in the US. The movie concentrates on the dangers faced by the under-insured in the US, by comparing the health care systems of other countries, including England, France, and Sweden to our own. The Pike County Democratic Committee is presenting this free screening of “Sicko” as a service to Pike County residents as the US Senate debates and moves towards enacting legislation which will reform the US health care system. The Committee invites all interested Pike County residents to attend the screening.
