German Christmas market this Sunday

PORT JERVIS — A German Christmas market is coming to Port Jervis from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29.

Many towns in Germany and Austria usher in Advent with the opening of a Christmas market, or "Weihnachtsmarkt," where food, drink, and seasonal items are sold from open-air stalls accompanied by traditional singing and dancing. Holiday gifts, warm handmade apparel, tasty seasonal treats will be sold, along with lush greens and seasonal decorations. And Santa will arrive at 5 p.m.

The market will be hold downtown along Front Street and Jersey Avenue.
