— Kim Kelly of Haunted Milford will hold a children's Christmas event in the Columns Museum foundation room on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 6 to 9:30 p.m.
It will include a hot chocolate station and a craft station where children will make ornaments while Christmas music plays.
Christmas classics, like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Peanuts' Christmas," and "Frosty the Snowman" are among the videos to be shown at the party. Santa Claus will make an appearance with picture taking near his sleigh. Children can bring their bean bags or pillows. Refreshments include cookies, cake and cocoa.
"This will be a free community event, but donations to help cover costs are appreciated but not expected," Kelly said. "We don't want any child to miss out. This is a give-back to the community."
The Columns Museum is located at 608 Broad St., Milford, PA 18337
Lori Strelecki, director and curator of the Columns, accepted proceeds from Kelly's recent ghost tours.
"Generally we try to raise as much as possible for the museum with the tours," said Kelly. "This year we raised almost $600 for the museum."
The interpretive tour, which imparts well-researched historical information, is a about a mile long and takes about 1.5 hours. Kelly does year 'round tours, but most are in October.
