MILFORD - The Highlands Photographic Guild is pleased to welcome its newest member, John Levandoski from Courtdale. John’s 25 years of experience in photography includes owning and operating a retail camera store and studio as well as special event photo shoots. He currently operates Camera Pro, a wedding studio specializing in black and white images and is represented by Gifts of Art, a gallery in Williamsport. His work at the Highlands Photographic Guild represents his passion for fine art photography. John’s medium of choice is black and white silver halide photography and a large format camera. Using fiber-based paper and a traditional darkroom allows the tonal range of the negative to produce a more dimensional image. “I enjoy the whole process of making a fine print starting with previsualizing my subject ... exposing and processing the negative, and finally interpreting the final image through printing.” Each month hereafter, his various portfolios can be seen at the Highlands Photographic Guild, 224 Broad Street (Wachovia Bank Building) in Milford. The gallery is open Fridays, noon to 7 p.m., Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m. with extended hours during the holiday season. Call the gallery at 570-296-2440 for further information.
