Highlands Photo Guild selects director

MILFORD - Peter Bernstock has been selected by the members of the Highlands Photographic Guild to be their first executive director. The guild, open since June, is a cooperative photography gallery located at 224 Broad Street in Milford in the Wachovia Bank building. Bernstock comes to the gallery with extensive experience in business operations and photography. Despite the digital era, he prefers to shoot with film using either a 35mm or medium format camera. “Photography allows me to document images that I want to keep and share. The final image is exactly what my camera has captured,” said Bernstock. His photographs have been widely exhibited in group and juried shows throughout Northern New Jersey from where he relocated to Hawley, Pa. Bernstock is a founding member of the Highlands Photographic Guild.
