Historic house open Saturday
WHITE MILLS If you have never visited the historic 1867 Glassworker’s House, on Charles Street, White Mills, you have an opportunity to enjoy this restored cottage on Saturday, July 26. The house is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Volunteer docents are on hand to guide visitors through the home, which is displayed as it would have appeared with a family in residence during the summer of 1875. The Glassworker’s House is one of the original seven small sloped-roof houses built by Christian Dorflinger for the workers at his glass factory in White Mills. Admission to the house is $2 for adults, $1.50 for seniors (55+), and $1 for students (6 to 18).
