Historic tours and programs offered

    MONTAGUE, N.J. — On Sunday, August 23, the Montague Association for the Restoration of Community History (MARCH) will host the Lost Art Lacers at the Nelden-Roberts Stonehouse at 501 US Route 206 in Montague. The association will open the 1790s, Foster-Armstong House located at 320 River Road/County road 521 for tours between 1 & 4 p.m. Both sites are administered by MARCH and part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The history, “Montague,” is available at both locations for $21.99. Both the Nelden-Roberts Stonehouse, a structure which served as a one-room school in the 1820’s, and the Foster-Armstrong House contain displays of items reflecting Montague’s heritage. Both will open for their last scheduled regular summer tours on Sunday Aug. 30. An Antique Doll Collection will be exhibited at the stone house. MARCH will hold a regular business meeting on Thurs. Aug 27 at 7 p.m., at the Foster-Armstrong House at 320 River Road, within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
