Milford — It’s that time again, time to join your friends in history for a celebration to “kick off” the Holiday Season. The Pike County Historical Society and The Columns Museum, located at 608 Broad Street in historic Milford will open the doors to the 1904 neo-classical mansion they call home, and provide members and guests with a good dose of cheer on Sunday, Dec. 2, from 3 to 5 p.m. This year’s open house will take place in the Foundation Room as well as the Main Floor of the Society’s Museum and the Milford Garden Club will once again provide the decorating of the former McLaughlin home. The Deanery Choir, of Lords Valley, and the Tri-State Community Chorus will fill the main floor with sounds of the season. The Foundation Room will be open with punch, sweets and savories, and additional entertainment by Adista and Aurelia, two local ladies who have found their way home for the Holiday’s. The two will be singing traditional songs of the season in the Foundation Room intermittently all afternoon. The Deanery Choir will perform at 3:30 p.m. and the Tri-State Chorus will be performing at 4:30 p.m. Everyone is invited and welcome, admission is free.
