Milford — Looking for a great way to spend a Saturday night? Dust off those dancing shoes and head to The Mansion at the Mt. Haven Resort on Saturday, March 15, for “Dance 4 Dogs & Cats” billed as an exciting and fun new benefit for the Pike County Humane Society. The party is the idea of area event producer, Derek Roberts, and will help raise some of the badly needed funds that are vital to keep the shelter open and operating. Barry Heim, Board Treasurer for the Human Society says, “This event comes at the perfect time because right now the shelter’s financial situation is becoming very worrisome and donations of all kinds are so badly needed. We hope the public turns out to dance, donate and help the future pets of Pike County”. The “Dance 4 Dogs & Cats” begins at 8 p.m. in The Mansion and delicious light fare and tasty nibbles will be donated by area restaurants for guests to enjoy. There will be cash bars offering today’s latest cocktails and yesterday’s favorites. But the best part of the evening will be the party’s music played by three DJs each spinning their own “session”. Local DJs Hot Sauce, Anthony Filone, will open the party and Milford favorite DJ O will take over and spin until midnight. NYC DJ, Sin Morera, then takes over spinning his hot style of New York house music until people just can’t dance anymore. Three different DJs, playing three very different styles of dance music, 70s, 80s, 90s, top 40s, radio hits & edits, dance remixes, R&B, Latin and Deep House will all be on the party’s play list-something for everyone to dance to. The music, pulled from the different styles and time periods, will be a true musical journey and unlike any other Milford event ever. And for those born with two left feet, no worries, aside from the great dance floor, The Mansion is the perfect place to mingle with the fun crowd, have a drink or two and help a worthy Pike County cause. Admission to the party is open to anyone 21 years and older for $20 or pay only $10 with a donation of shelter wish list items such as: canned and dry cat and dog food, bleach and bleach wipes, Windex, laundry and dish detergent, garbage bags, paper towels, old blankets and towels, dog and cat collars and toys, leashes, non clumping cat litter, dog crates and office supplies. Donated items are also needed for the party’s silent auction. Gift certificates, services, trips, items, any donation to help the evening to be even more successful are most welcomed.
