Join Family Fun Day at the fire department

BOHEMIA — The Central Volunteer Fire Department Station 27 of Hawley is hosting its Family Fun Day from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, at the firehouse, located at 574 Westcolang Road

Highlights include fire demonstrations and free wellness checks, along with an opportunity to meet local firefighters and first responders from EMS Services Squad 21.

The Boy Scouts from Venturing Crew Troop 365 will conduct a Flag Day ceremony. Anyone who would like to properly retire their worn or tattered American flags is invited to bring them to the event.

Meet some live raptors when Jan Lucciola of the Delaware Valley Raptor Center gives a presentation at 2 p.m.

There will also be baskets, raffles, and vendors. There is no admission.

A barbecue will offer food and refreshments for purchase.
