Know your natives

— Renowned author and botanist Dr. Ann Rhoads will lead a walk and answer questions about native plants and their habitats.
The walk will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 24, at Camp Speers YMCA in Dingmans Ferry, on a conservation easement funded by the Pike County Scenic Rural Character Preservation Program and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
Dr. Rhoads’ books include “The Plants of Pennsylvania,” “The Vascular Flora of Pennsylvania,” “Trees of Pennsylvania,” and most recently, "Aquatic Plants of Pennsylvania." She recently retired as the director of botany for the Morris Arboretum and taught botany at the University of Pennsylvania.
