Laurel Villa Winter Wine Fest II'
Newest wines from PA will be featured MILFORD The Laurel Villa Country Inn & Restaurant will highlight five fine wines, new to Pennsylvania, as it hosts “Winter Wine Fest II” on Friday, Jan. 15 at 6:30 p.m. “These five new varietals, imported and domestic and red and white, are just hitting the market in Pennsylvania,” said Janice Halsted, Innkeeper at the Laurel Villa. “Our guests will be among the very first to experience these exciting new vintages.” Included in the event are three reds - Brazin Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi, California, Quail Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa, California, and Rio Secco Malbec from Argentina - and two whites - Columbia Crest Grand Estates Riesling from Washington State and Cloudline Pinot Gris from Oregon. “These are some of the most interesting new releases of the season,” said Ivan Mines of Capital Wines & Spirits who will be hosting the event, “and each is a very good value.” Chef Carl will create hot and cold hors d’oeuvres to accompany each wine, and guests who choose to stay for dinner will receive 15% off their entree. “The fireplace in the parlor is lit, and our Comfort Food menu will continue all winter,” said Halsted. The next event in the Laurel Villa’s continuing series of tasting events will be “Romantic Reds & Winter Whites” on Friday, Feb. 19.
