Library channels Gatsby for dinner-dance fundraiser

— The Pike County Library is hold its Great Gatsby Dinner-Dance fundraiser this Saturday.

The library will honor two dignitaries for their many years supporting the library: Centa Quinn and Randolph "Skip" Gregory.

Quinn is vice president of the library board. She has devoted many hours to the library and to the Friends, the fundraising auxiliary, and was in charge of the bake sale at the library's recent successful lawn sale.

Gregory, a lifelong Pike County resident and prominent businessman, owned and operated Gregory's Garage and was president of Gregory's Exxon Gas station. He served as Mayor of Milford Borough from 1979 to 1985 and as chair the Pike County Board of Commissioners from 1985 to 1992. In 2007 he published "All Roads Lead to Milford: Postcards from the Past."

Tickets to the Great Gatsby party are available at the Milford and Dingmans branches of the library.
