An evening of elegant dinning was had by guests as local eateries from Pike County and surrounding areas served their culinary best during the 16th Annual Chefs Do Dinner on Wednesday, March 19 at Best Western Inn at Hunt's Landing in Matamoras, Pa.

The Center for Developmental Disabilities of Pike County is the beneficiary of the event that raised $40,000. The Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD) organizes numerous fundraising events throughout the year but the Chef Do Dinner is their biggest.

The Delaware Valley High School culinary class also took part serving a savory pasta dish. Businesses from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York sponsored the Chefs Do Dinner.

Among the many sponsors were Newton Medical Center Atlantic Health System, Eastern Propane, Lords Valley Country Club, Wayne Bank and Merrill Lynch.

The event was attended by dignitaries and community leaders from Pike County and beyond. A long list of sponsors from the tri-state area donated and the funds raised help support the programs the Center for Developmental Disabilities provides for families.

The Center for Developmental Disabilities has served local communities for decades. The organization provides educational, therapeutic and family support services for children with developmental delays and disabilities, from birth to kindergarten age. For more information visit www.cddkids.org.
