Local personality promotes fundraiser
MILFORD The Milford community experienced a little “Sugar” after Friday’s storm. “Sugar,” who will appear again theatrically later this month, went on a tour Sunday encouraging the town shop owners, locals and visitors to attend “Moishel n’ Camille’s Engagement Party.” The audience-interactive play is taking place on July 18th at the historic Tom Quick Inn, with all proceeds benefiting the United Way of Pike County. “We are very grateful to the Tom Quick Inn, J-Angelo Event Planning, BigHeartTravel, Elli.gant Cakes, DJ FLOW and all the performers who have generously volunteered to donate their services to this event for the United Way of Pike County. This is a great night out while helping our local human service agencies alleviate hunger, homelessness, sickness and abuse right where we live,” said Christine Obser, United Way president. “It has been my pleasure to be a part of this event and to collaborate with James Campistrous of J-Angelo Event Planners,” said Barbara Tarquinio, United Way campaign chair. Barbara also noted, That the United Way of Pike County just allocated $90,000 to 17 local human service agencies dealing with challenging needs in our county. The party is July 18 at the Tom Quick Inn from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Bring an engagement gift of non-perishable food items to be donated to the local food pantries. Look for music, dancing, stand-up comedy, raffle prizes, special giveaways, hors d’oeuvres, cash bar and priceless memories. Tickets are $30 at the door or can be purchased ahead for $25 by calling Catherine Capasso at 570-296-9980. Donations of any size are always welcome.
