PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — On Sunday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m., the choirs of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and the 1st Presbyterian Church of Port Jervis will present the ninth annual “Joy of Music” concert. The public is invited to the concert, which will be held in St. Peter’s sanctuary at 31 West Main Street in Port Jervis. The program will feature choir members, ages 5 through adult singing in small and large groups plus solos and small ensembles. A free-will offering will be taken which will go toward the youth choir camp fund, which annually sends choir members to a week-long choir camp in Wilkes-Barre. This camp is run by the Royal School of Church Music in America (RSCM), a national organization which hosts many such camps across the United States each summer, all of which strive towards excellence in choral singing among young people. For more information, contact St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at 845-856-1033 or Kathy Brink, Minister of Music at St. Peter’s at 570-296-7280.
