For those interested in understanding the notion of unseen “presences” around them, the Columns Museum has a class.

Many have wondered whether the Columns Museum, in Milford, is haunted, says Lori Strelecki, Pike County Historical Society director.

“We have allowed several groups of ‘ghost hunters’ to investigate, and quite a few people have relayed similar stories about experiencing a presence on the second floor of the museum. Some think it is Juliette Peirce,” said Strelecki, referring to the wife of a prominent philosopher, who lived in Milford in the 1800’s.

For those wanting to explore similar feelings of a nearby “presence,” the museum will offer classes in mediumship led by Ann Marie Nitti on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the museum Foundation Room.

“This group is all about connections”, said Nitti. “Practicing techniques and feeling energy, as well as talking about experiences and learning how to connect to your higher self and spirit guides.”

The classes are $20 per person per week and will begin on May 16, 2022

For more information or to register, contact Ann Marie Nitti via text at 845-662-6776 or call the museum at 570-296-8126. Walk-ins are also welcome, but class sizes are limited.
