Milford Valley Quilt Guild installs new officers

At their Annual May social event, the Milford Valley Quilt Guild installed its new officers for the 2017-2018 year.
The new officers are Nancy Halleran, vice president; Cheryl O’Sullivan, president; Marie Sandauer, secretary; and Roseanne Mein, treasurer.
Also installed were the following committee chairs: program - Heather Bailey and Linda Shorten; membership - Debra Kaweski; publicity - Helen Wood; library - Jane Kroner; archives - Mary Murray; community services - Linda Edwards; and newsletter - Julia Sullivan.
As part of its Quilt Show in June, the Guild sponsored a club-member “Quilt Challenge,” which was themed for "National Days." The unique quilts will be revealed at a special exhibit at the Guild’s Quilt Show this month.
The winners of the club challenge were: Best Use of Color - Debra Kaweski; Best Use of Quilting - Sue Caldwell; and Best Depiction of a National Day Theme and Most Creative - Nancy Giancontieri.
The guild meets the second, third and fourth Wednesday of each month. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. at elaware Valley Middle School.
Members come from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
