The mission of the Neversink Valley Museum of History and Innovation, located at 26 Hoag Rd. in Cuddebackville, is to preserve and document the history of the D&H Canal, Neversink River Valley, and Shawangunk Valley. The museum focuses especially on the canal's influence on local commerce and technology in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and how it transformed an agrarian area into an industrial one. For more information about the museum call 845-754-8870.
Orchard Hill Cider Mill's mission is to "revive the tradition of authentic farm-based alcoholic beverage production." It makes handmade hard ciders in small batches using traditional fermentation and distilling methods.
Its "Speakeasy Saturdays," hosted by mixologist Donnan Sutherland from 5 to 9 p.m., feature live music, Chef Shawn Hubbell's light bites, and New York State craft libations.
Admission is $10 to the fundraiser; $15 includes one glass of cider. Museum memberships will also be available.
