New talent in the kitchen

And a speed guarantee at lunchtime this month MILFORD The Tom Quick Inn (TQ Inn) has a new head chef, Brian Hegmann. Brian has been cooking up delectable dishes in our area since 1998 and has been a member of the community for the past 17 years. His career began as a line cook at Milford’s own Apple Valley Restaurant, and later, he trained and premiered as the head chef at the Dodge Inn Steakhouse in Rock Hill, N.Y. Brian promises to provide “something for everyone” at the new Tom Quick Inn Restaurant. Brian says Milford can look forward to better prices, a quicker turn around, a larger menu, and a sparkle of creativity unique to Brian’s own cooking. Backing up the "Quick" service claim the TQ has recently added a speed guarantee this month. With some food item exceptions- if your dine-in order was placed between 12 and 1 p.m., weekdays during November and is not on the table within 15 minutes your lunch is free. Tom Quick Inn manager Linda Nester said she could see where the talent lies in the area and knows her new head chef will soon be the top favorite in town. One of the TQ Inn’s most requested casual dishes is “the Delewar” (the way the early settlers spelled it) a delicious beef burger with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon and topped with our special BBQ sauce, stop by and try it on your lunch hour! The TQ Inn is now taking reservations for family events, banquets, parties in addition to lunch and dinner service every day. If you’re looking for an evening out stop downstairs and dance the night away at the “TQ Club” the area’s only night club. At the TQ Inn, Milford’s unique casual dining experience, dine where the early settlers dined and read all about the history of the Tom Quick Inn. Beautiful rooms and courteous service are also available for an overnight stay, if you’re lucky you might even see our resident ghost! The TQ Inn landmark was first erected 1880 and reopened for business in 2009 with rave reviews. Keeping with Milford’s family and business-friendly feel, owners Pam and Dick Lutfy say this local favorite promises to keep up its lively growth for years to come.
