MILFORD — Join National Park Staff Saturday in celebrating the dedication of a new Delaware Water Gap recreational site. The first of this year’s dedication ceremonies, the Cliff Park Trails System, will be held on Saturday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at the Cliff Park Trailhead, in Milford. On this day, more than 1,500 events will take place nationwide celebrating National Trails Day. This auspicious occasion will provide a chance for visitors to meet the park staff who established this trail system, a network of eight trails, as well as to take a hike. The ceremony will be followed by guided hikes to The Cliffs, Hackers Falls, and Milford Knob. In the coming months, Superintendent John J. Donahue and park staff will dedicate three new recreational sites. In addition to the Cliff Park Trails System, these Turtle Beach, and the Joseph M. McDade Trail. “2010 marks the completion of several important, long-term projects that will enhance the recreational experiences for many park visitors,” stated Superintendent John Donahue.
