Peters Valley bus trip to Philly
Layton, N.J. Peters Valley Craft Center, a nationally recognized non-profit center for fine craftsmanship in Layton, N.J. invites the public on a day trip to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The trip will include tickets to the featured exhibit: “Picasso and the Avante-garde in Paris”. Internationally recognized as one of the most innovative and influential artists of the twentieth century, Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) was at his most ferociously inventive between 1905 and 1945. This exhibit surveys his work during these crucial decades, when he transformed the history of art through his innate virtuosity and protean creativity. The bus will leave Newton, N.J. at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 24 and arrive in Philadelphia at about 11 a.m. Participants will be free to visit other areas and exhibits in the museum or the nearby Rodin Museum and have lunch until the scheduled entrance to the Picasso exhibit, which is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. The tour leaves the museum at 5 p.m. and arrives back in Newton about 8:30 p.m. The cost is $75 ($73 for seniors).
