Pike County Arts and Crafts show
MILFORD Borough Hall in Milford will once again be transformed into a gallery, showcasing the fine arts and fine crafts of the region's artists at the annual Pike County Arts and Crafts (PCAC) show.
A reception will take place on Friday evening, July 13 from 7-10 p.m.
Under a large tent in front of the hall, the food and live music and lots of camaraderie turn the street into a celebration of the arts and community spirit, while indoors awaits a display of such range and variety of art that always amazes the attendees. The members of PCAC would like to welcome the public to join them for an evening of fun.
The exhibit contains all forms of painting, photography, printmaking, pottery, jewelry, and lots of handmade giftware; raffles; and a display of this year's Georgiana Kiger Excellence in the Arts Scholarship award recipient Lauren Jones.
The organization has helped foster the art scene that is thriving in Milford and has brought together artists of all kinds and skill levels for 62 years. Through its classes at the Borough Hall, many aspiring artists have become accomplished artists now showing their work in our annual show. The monthly artists demonstrations (first Sundays) brings the public and members together to learn about techniques and methods of professional artist on the first Sunday of the months of September, October, November, April, May, and June at 1p.m.
The annual members exhibit will be run from Wednesday July 11 through Sunday July 22. Hours are: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. weekends and noon - 6 p.m. weekdays at the Milford Borough Hall on West Catharine Street.
