The rest are either talented amateurs or just “friends of the arts.” The “Meet the Artists Reception” (a mini-block party) will be held from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. on July 17. This year’s show is dedicated to local artists Tom and Judy Neugebauer.Entertainment will be provided by the In Spite of Ourselves Trio. Refreshments are provided by PCAC members and sponsoring restaurants and stores. Tourists and locals who visit the PCAC show at Borough Hall will also enjoy walking to the many nearby craft shops and art galleries that grace this lovely little town. The Victorian architecture, well-kept homes and gardens, museums, magnificently-restored inns, fine dining places, and peaceful, friendly village atmosphere make Milford an attractive vacation destination for any lover of art, culture, and history. On the evening of July 17 - Friday, from 7 till 10 p.m. - at the “Meet the Artists” reception, three very talented young local artists, who have been accepted into prestigious college art programs, will be presented with scholarship checks: Kathryn Yuen (winner of the Georiana P. Kiger “Excellence in Art” Scholarship) and Roxanne Indelicato and Danielle Kelly, winners of the PCAC Art Scholarships. Pike County Arts & Crafts is a nonprofit educational organization for artists and crafters. It receives its support from members, friends, and the Pike County Commissioners and the Pocono Arts Council (from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts). Its elite, mostly professional membership includes talented local professional artists and artisans from the tri-state area as well as from New York City. PCAC’s First Sundays program is open to the public free of charge the first Sunday of each month at 1:30 and featuring a demonstration by a visiting master artist.
