— Pike County Arts and Crafts will hold its summer art show at Ambience Furniture and Fine Gifts, 200 East Harford St., Milford.
Local artists and craftspeople have the opportunity to show their work to their neighbors. The community, in turn, may purchase one-of–a-kind works by local artists, including paintings, prints, photography, jewelry, pottery, stained glass, sculpture, and woodwork.
Now celebrating its 65th anniversary, Pike County Arts and Crafts is the 2007 Winner of the Governor’s Creative Community Award. Its mission is to help local artists and crafters of all ages learn, teach, and exhibit their work; to encourage young artists in particular; and to enhance the image of Pike County as an arts community.
The show has a two-day opener next weekend, July 9-10, from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Other Sunday shows are on Aug. 7, Sept. 4, Oct. 2, and Nov. 6.
