“Reading Ranger” for kids

MILFORD A free program that promotes literacy and environmental awareness among young children will once again be offered on Friday mornings this summer beginning July 4, at Grey Towers National Historic Site, in Milford. The Reading Ranger program, geared for youngsters ages 4-9, includes a read-aloud story and craft activity. Both the book and the craft activity will focus on an environmental or nature topic. The programs, which begin at 10 a.m., are scheduled for Fridays July 4, 11, 18 and 25. They are free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine. Reservations are suggested.
