Ronny Whyte to give New Year's performance at the Fauchére
MILFORD — Singer/songwriter Ronny Whyte will entertain New Year's Eve revelers at the Hotel Fauchère, where he will play the vintage grand piano in the hotel's Delmonico Room.
Whyte is considered one of the premiere interpreters of the Great American Songbook, performing renditions of the most influential popular songs and jazz standards. His program will include songs created for Broadway and Hollywood musicals from the 1920s through the 1950s.
Whyte has won awards from MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs) and the American Society of Composers. His work has been recorded by Tony Bennett and other artists.
“Many know Ronny as a national treasure who has performed at the most prestigious venues around the world, with the greatest stars of stage and screen,” said Sean Strub, president of the Hotel Fauchère. "But he is also our local treasure, because he lives right here in Milford. It is a great honor to have his inaugural performance at the Delmonico Room for this New Year’s Eve”.
Whyte says he's enjoyed the Hotel Fauchère as a patron for years.
"It will be a real pleasure to ring in the New Year celebrating with friends and guests at such a legendary and elegant establishment,” said Whyte, who was inducted into the Hotel Fauchère’s “Wall of Fame” this past June.
The Fauchère is offering a five-course New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu in the Delmonico Room and a three-course prix fixe menu in Bar Louis. Email reservations@hotelfauchere.com, call 570-409-1212, or visit hotelfauchere.com for details.

Originally founded in 1852 by Delmonico’s master chef, Louis Fauchère, the Hotel Fauchère was operated by the Fauchère family for 124 years, until closing in 1976. After a five-year restoration of the derelict building into an architectural gem, the hotel and its two restaurants reopened to great acclaim in 2006.
