MILFORD — The Safe Kids Coalition of Pike County will again sponsor a motorcycle ‘Poker Run’ in conjunction with the Pike/Monroe Child Passenger Safety Team. This year’s ride will be in memory of Shane Skibber, former owner of Pub 715 South. Motorcyclists will ride through the mountains in Pike and Monroe counties on Sunday, Sept. 13, to enjoy the scenery and raise money for car seats for families in need. Each stop along the ride has games that riders will play for their poker hand. This motorcycle ride is unique because riders have a police escort allowing the riders to stay together. The organized ride will start at the Tannersville Inn, state Route 611, Tannersville, and end at Pub 715 South in Reeders. The event will include a “poker run” with cash prizes, raffles, free soda, hamburgers and hot dogs for all participants. Anyone wishing to join the event should arrive at the Tannersville Inn by 9 a.m. for registration. Each hand of cards will be $15 dollars with no limit on the number of hands purchased by each rider and the proceeds will benefit the Monroe/Pike Child Passenger Safety Team. Come out and enjoy a great day of riding and meeting new people. For more information, call Gary Foster at MCTA, at 570-839-6282, ext. 313 or Jill Gamboni at Safe Kids, at 570-296-3447.
