— Many birds of prey can be seen from a distance — flying through the air, or hanging out in a tree. Have you ever wanted to see an owl or eagle up close? Here’s your chance.

Belle Reve Senior Living invites senior citizens to “Close Encounters with Birds of Prey” at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 18.

The Delaware Valley Raptor Center will bring a variety of birds to the community. This educational program introduces the audience to the world of raptors, to create an understanding, respect and appreciation for the raptors and all wildlife.

This event is free and open to seniors, but seating is limited. Call Kaitlyn or Michele at 570-409-9191 by Sept. 15.

The Delaware Valley Raptor Center is a privatem not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the conservation of birds of prey. It provides professional care for orphaned, ill, and injured raptors so they can be returned to the wild. Through educational programs, the center aims to create an appreciation for all wildlife.
