Service and baked potato dinner

MILFORD — Fill both your spiritual needs and your stomach in one stop at the Milford United Methodist Church on Nov. 14. A baked potato dinner with all the fixings - chili, cheese, broccoli, bacon, bits, butter and sour cream - will begin at 5 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall. The dinner will be a fundraiser to help send Olivia Cunningham on the Taize pilgrimage to France in 2010. A free-will offering will be taken at the door, but all are welcome to join in food and fellowship regardless. Following the dinner, at 7 p.m., the church will have its monthly Taize-style worship, led by Pastor Dave Repenning. The service includes songs, prayer and scripture. An annual pilgrimage to Taize by church youth has been a focus of Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar, who leads the Greater New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church. All faiths are welcome to join in one or both events at MUMC on the 14th. Contact the church office at 570-296-6124 or mumc@ptd.net.
