Snow Soup Sunday offered at Lacawac Sanctuary
LAKE WALLENPAUPACK The Lacawac Sanctuary will host its annual Snow Soup Sunday on Sunday, Jan. 17, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. They can’t guarantee the snow, but several varieties of delicious homemade soup and fresh bread are guaranteed to please. Naturalist Jen Naugle will lead a walk to discuss how wildlife adapts to survive winter’s harsh conditions. Following the walk, lunch will be served in the Sanctuary’s century old, Adirondack style Great Camp. Reservations are required. The cost is $10 per person; $7 for sanctuary members, $2 for children under 12. Call 570-689-9494 or email info@lacawac to register. The 510-acre Lacawac Sanctuary is a non-profit nature preserve, research field station and historic site located on Lake Wallenpaupack.
