The Virgin Consort performs at Winterfest

Hawley — The internationally acclaimed choral group, The Virgin Consort, makes a return visit to Hawley’s Winterfest with a beautiful concert to celebrate the joyful sounds of the season on Friday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. This extraordinary choral group from New York City, directed by Kyler Brown, will perform a selection of carols and motets from around the world in addition to a specially commissioned arrangement of Winter Wonderland, the holiday classic written by Honesdale native Dick Smith. This 75-minute concert, performed by an ensemble of eight of New York’s finest choral singers, will include an elegant blend of traditional carols and Medieval, Renaissance and contemporary sacred and secular works.
