Women In Art' featured at Highlands Photo Guild show

MILFORD - In honor of Women’s History Month in March, the Highlands Photographic Guild will exhibit photographs that celebrate women. The featured art will include black and white and color images that cover a wide range of subjects and styles including street photography, portraits and figure studies. John Levandoski will be represented by several pieces which showcase his expertise at fine art black and white printing. Norma Bernstock will exhibit a self-portrait transferred onto water color paper. David Ruskin, known for his hand-colored black and white images, will present figure studies in several mediums. Peter Bernstock will take a break from his recent color work with a poignant black and white portrait of his Russian grandmother. Randy Fitzgerald’s Flower Child will add a touch of color as will Karen Kruger’s images of women from northern Thailand. Members of the guild will be at the gallery during Art After Dark on Saturday, March 10, to greet visitors and to answer any questions about their work. The Highlands Photographic Guild is located at 224 Broad Street (Wachovia Bank Building) in Milford. The gallery is open Fridays, 12 - 6 p.m., Saturdays, 11 - 6 p.m. and Sundays, 12 - 5 p.m. The Photo Guild is open until 9 p.m. during Milford’s Art After Dark celebration on the second Saturday of every month.
