Wayne Memorial welcomes first baby of 2017

The Derrick family of Hawley rang in the new year with a new addition to their family. Little Greyson was born at 3:36 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. He weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and stretched 17.25 inches long. Greyson joins siblings Savanna Lomonaco, 10, Giovanni Lomonaco, 8, and Taytum Derrick, 1. How do they feel about baby number four in their household? “I’m very excited about it!” said Savanna with a big smile. The family received a "first baby" basket of goodies from the staff of the hospital’s New Beginnings Birthing Suites. The baby arrived with the help of Thomas O’Brien, MD.
