DINGMANS FERRY — From Dec 13 through Dec 18 of last year, the Dingmans Ferry Bridge held its second annual food drive to benefit the Holy Trinity Food Pantry. People crossing the bridge during that time period were encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items. Holy Trinity Pantry Director Peg Hoover said that it was one of the most successful food collections of the year. The pantry has been experiencing record numbers of families in need. During the month of December alone the pantry helped over 300 people with food support. On behalf of the food pantry and the families it serves, Hoover offered thanks to Carol Phillips who organized the drive, the bridge administrators and workers for their support and help with the drive, Vincent Walker who delivered the food to the pantry each day, and all the people who so generously supported the food pantry with their food donations.
