    Local Student Inducted into National Biology Honor Society: University of Scranton student Jessica McKnight of Milford, was among the new members inducted into Beta Beta Beta, the National Honor Society for Biology, at a ceremony held recently on campus. Scranton’s chapter, established in 1994, is one of 372 chapters nationwide. Pike resident efforts at Widener University: Rebecca Steffen of Hawley, received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in Physical Therapy during the commencement ceremony at Widener University in Chester on May 16. Jesse Jayne of Milford, was named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2009 semester at Widener. The Dean’s List recognizes full-time students who earned a grade point average of 3.50 and above for the semester. DV grad on Juniata dean’s list: Juniata College has named Samantha Grace Morgan of Milford to the dean’s list for the 2009 spring semester. Morgan is the daughter of Theodore and Carol Morgan and is a junior studying psychology with a secondary emphasis in education. Morgan is a 2007 graduate of Delaware Valley High School. She was among 335 students named. The dean’s list recognizes grade point averages of at least 3.6 out of a possible 4.0. Pike dean’s list students at King’s College: Dr. Nicholas A. Holodick, vice president for academic affairs at King’s College, recently announced the students who have qualified for the Spring 2009 dean’s list, having achieved a grade point average of 3.4 or higher. They included: Syuzana Abayeva, Brittany Heaney, Mary Nied, and Thomas Poltersdorf, of Milford; and John Cuiffo, and Lauren Eckert of Bushkill.
