New social online group for adoptive parents/children

GREENVILLE, N.Y. — Local families with children adopted from Guatemala, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Peru and other countries in Latin America are invited to join Families & Friends / Familias y Amigos! The main focus of the group will be to provide opportunities for the children to form friendships with other adoptees similar to themselves. The group will be focused on family gatherings with child-friendly activities, targeted at kids that are toddler to intermediate school age. The group will also offer parents the opportunity to discuss adoption-related issues with other parents such as adoption and school assignments, creating life books, heritage activities, and travel to Latin America. Members can join its on-line Yahoo Group to share ideas, cultural resources and parenting advice. There is no fee to join.
