    Caryl Ann (Tewksbury) Wells of Milford, Pa., formerly of Towanda, Pa., died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Newton Medical Center, Newton, N.J., after a courageous battle with cancer.
    She died in the loving arms of her son John.
    Daughter of the late Vern C. and Grace (LaFrance) Tewksbury, she was born July 10, 1940, in Towanda.
    She was predeceased by her husband of over 25 years, Gerald T. Wells Sr.; her parents and stepmother, Retha Maryoh Tewksbury; grandson, Jason Morse and nephew, Douglas Pratt. She attended Laceyville and Towanda schools and was a 1958 graduate of Wyalusing High School. She was a former employee of Sears and Roebuck, Wysox; Citizen's and Northern Bank, First National Bank, and Members First Federal Credit Union in Towanda, Pa.
    She married Gerald Wells on Jan. 24, 1970, and resided in Franklindale, Pa., for several years. They relocated to Saco Road in Towanda in 1978. She was retired and enjoyed pending time traveling with her son John and was especially fond of playing cards. She was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan, and loved her animals. Barry the Cat was her favorite and Logan, her chocolate Lab, was a challenge but she loved him just the same.
    Survivors include her son, John P. Wells of Milford; daughter, Linda (David) Morse of Trout Run, Pa., and grandson, Victor; daughter, Kathleen (Walter) Davis of Gillett, Pa. and grandchildren, Jared, Brandon, Dereck; Patricia, and Melissa; son, Gerald (Cathy) Wells of Wysox, Pa., and grandsons, Damon and Dustin; brother, Karl (Zanetta) Tewksbury of Wysox, Pa., and nieces and nephews, Karla, Sonya, Zanetta, Garth; sister, Anita (Robert) Whipple of Towanda, Pa., niece and nephew, Pamela and Bryan; and sister, Rita (Greg) McLaud of Towanda, Pa., niece and nephew, Christopher and Leigh Ann. Caryl also had many great-grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews.
    The family will receive friends at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the New Era Cemetery.
