Charles “Dennis” Connelly, 80, of Blooming Grove Township, Pa., passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at home. He was a retired U.S. Navy veteran and a retired deputy sheriff for Pike County, Pa. Dennis was a member of the Greeley Volunteer Fire Department, Greeley, Pa., Milford Masonic Lodge #344, Milford, Pa., and the Marsh Kellogg American Legion Post # 139, Milford, Pa.
The son of the late Thomas and Blanche (Jemison) Connelly, he was born November 13, 1943, in Nutley, NJ. He was married to Rosemarie (Schultze) Connelly.
Dennis leaves behind his loving wife Rosemarie; daughter Stephanie Connelly; son Timothy Connelly; and grandchildren Ethan, Noah, Christopher, and Nicole. He was predeceased by his daughter Christine Connelly.
A viewing will be held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, Pa. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on December 14, 2023, at 4 p.m. with Rev. Keith Raser officiating. Burial will take place at Lackawaxen Cemetery, Lackawaxen, Pa., private at the convenience of the family.
