Constance E. Defrancesco Dapkins

Constance E. Defrancesco Dapkins of Shohola died peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at home surrounded by her family. She was 70.

She was a retired nurse’s aide for nursing homes and hospitals all across Pike County.

Daughter of the late Percy and Helen (DeLee) DeLanoy, she was born on Aug. 18, 1944, in White Plains, N.Y. She married Andrew Dapkins on May 26, 2004.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Tami DeFrancesco of Shohola and Dana Hoos of Milford; one son, Pat DeFrancesco and wife, Stacy, of Lackawaxen; three granddaughters; a grandson; a brother, Joseph DeLanoy of White Plains, N.Y.; three great-grandchildren; five stepchildren and eight great-stepchildren.

Services were at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford on April 6 and 7.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Ann’s Church, Shohola, on April 8, with the Rev. Thomas Major officiating. Burial followed at Milford Cemetery.
